Tight timeframe

Hello! I just got engaged in February and neither my fiance nor I are "into" the long engagement idea. My options are to either plan a simple wedding for this fall, or wait until next summer which I reeeeaallly don't want to do. The problem is that I am relatively new to the Chicago area and am having trouble finding a place that isn't a. more than a couple thousand to rent, b. available between August and October, c. less than an hour outside Chicago, d. lets us use our own caterer. I'd be fine in a park district or something, but I'm having an extremely difficult time finding anything with availability! Any suggestions?

Thank you!!

    Hello,
Have you tried the Friendship Park Conservatory.  Its in DesPlaines by Ohare but its part of the Mount Prospect Park District.  I believe the rental fee was 150/hour.

  • Take a look at Kitchen Chicago
  • +1 on Kitchen Chicago. I believe they do still do not have a preferred caterers list, and we were able to bring in our own alcohol. Alexis is the contact there. How many guests? They can handle about 100 for sit-down dinner or more like 120 for cocktail reception.
