dress alterations in the city

is it just me, or does the search function on these boards suck? i'm sure this question has already been asked and answered, but i don't want to go back through every post...
anyway, i bought my dress at house of brides in river north, but i've heard their alterations are not great and about average pricing. does anyone have any suggestions on where else to go? i read on yelp that Toula at Ms. Couture is great, but i'd like more opinions.

I actually posted this a little while back, but for some reason I can't see it in my posts. Maybe you can try and look through my posts to find it:) Otherwise, one of the knotties posted a great list (which I have in my gmail, and I can post later, can't get into gmail in the office). I didn't get too many first hand experience references, but a nice list to call and work with.

I've know the "BEST"seamstress! Came for Italy! Many years experience! She is truley the best of the best. You will not find anyone that is better! She can do the impossiable. She is often called in to fix what other seamstresses can't do or messed up. She is utilized by top-notch bridal salons. If something can be done, she is the one. She also designs wedding gowns from scratch. She has designed formal gowns for me that include Bridesmaid, Communion, Prom, and Homecoming.
