Road Trip

I am planning a road trip to in the next few weeks and I have only been to Rhode Island a few times. Where are some places that are a must see while I am in the state?

    Newport visit the mansions!  and eat dinner in Providence - yum. Try Federal Hill or any of the 746549 restaraunts in downtown providence!   Is there anything specific your looking to do/see?

    Thayer Street in Providence is usually a good time

    If you are there on a Saturday you should check out Newport Polo. It is in Portsmouth  which is on the same island as Newport. Besides the mansions check out cliff walk and the beaches.

    You could check the schedule at www.waterfire.org to see if there is a WaterFire event going on during your visit. It's a great time!

    Providence is a great city.  Small, but lots to do.  Visit Historic Federal Hill and sit at DePasquale Square. Feel like you took a little trip to Italy to eat, drink or stroll along the streets and listen to music.  If it is not so hot and muggy when you visit.  Waterfire is also nice, but with this weather I think you will really melt.  You can always head to Newport and view the beautiful scenic ocean along the harbor.  Enjoy your visit.
