Hi ladies!  I was waiting until I was able to shower for the first time before I updated everyone.  They recommend waiting 10 hours, so I finally got to shower and remove the initial bronzer that is in the spray this morning.

I think it looks pretty good.  It is defintely not streaky or splotchy at all. The color is not orange, but more of a golden brownish looking color which is good.

I honestly wasn't all that impressed with the salon itself and was kind of surprised.  They don't have a separate area for the tanning, but just do it in the middle of the salon behind a screen type thing.  The woman who sprayed me told me about the process before hand in the bathroom and then left me to change and leave my clothes, etc. in a locker in the bathroom.  Then, during the tanning I stood on a stained looking towel which I thought was a little gross.  The woman who did the tanning was awesome and did a really good and thorough job.  She was very nice, too.  I guess I just had expected the salon to be a bit cleaner or something.

I haven't decided whether or not I'm going to do it again for the wedding.  I still smell like sunless tanner even though I showered and I certainly don't want to smell like that for the wedding.  I'll give it a few days and see how I like it and then decide.   It was over $60 including the tip, which is kind of a lot.

So, overall I think it looks good right now but I'm not sure it is worth the weird smell and money.

Has anyone else done sunless tanning at Naomi's or elsewhere?  What did you think?

Wow, I agree wouldn't expect that from there since I hear such great things. So you did an airbrush right? Not the machine??

I still want to try airbrush, my salon tells me it is better then the machine and last longer. I do agree though, the smell does stay around for a bit and it is annoying to continue to smell it.

I'm surprised too, I've always heard such great things about Naomi's salon. I agree though, that's a little pricey and I don't think I could part with the $$ right before the wedding as we've already been cutting back on things.

That's good to know though that it's not orangy.. but it's more the smell that lingers afterwards that's no so appealing. I would definitely like to try this out someday since real tanning is so bad for your skin.

Yup it was airbrush, not the machine.  Don't get me wrong, it wasn't a horrible experience; the salon was just not what I had expected, you know?  I think Naomi's is the only salon in CT that uses St. Tropez which I've heard was the best and most natural looking sunless tanner -- maybe that's why it is so expensive.

Let us know how it goes if you try it out here or somewhere else, ladies!
