So What's Next?

With all these amazing checks everyone has been getting, what is next on everyone's lists? I need to finalize cake details, finish my DIY mailbox (cardbox), buy stamps (we have been putting this off since November when we got the invitations), and I might look for a new dress that actually fits.

Cake tasting tomorrow night and hopefully getting the first proof of our invitations at the end of this week or beginning of next week.

I'm meeting my mom this weekend and we're going to work on a ton of DIY stuff:

-Cutting the corks for the escort cards

-Spray painting wine bottles for centerpieces

-Making the table numbers

-Either making the card box OR spray painting the bird cage I have from my cousin's wedding

-Making these for on the tables during cocktail hour, the bars, in the bathrooms, etc.:

We need to get invitations soon (ordered the RSVP stamp and it just got in) and figure out what we're doing for the rehearsal dinner inserts. I'll probably just print them on some fancy card stock.

The guys are ordering their suits this week and Friday we are looking at wedding bands! I've been excited about this one for a while!

Trying to finalize invites is the big thing we have left. In hindsight, I'm kinda wishing we would have just picked something already made, but we tried to save money and do it ourselves. Now we have one friend designing the invite itself, my FSIL helping with the overall design elements (backing pieces, ribbon, etc), and the print center at my office will do the printing at a really reduced cost. I just have a feeling we'll be spending an entire weekend trying to assemble 200 of them.

Other than that, a few of the GM need to get fitted yet, and we have some other little things like GM gifts, gifts for my personal attendants and jr bridesmaids, and helping MOB and FMIL find dresses.

Last night I placed an order for custom clutches for my bridesmaids, mothers and myself.

I need to get my invitations finalized and ordered by the end of this month and also need to figure out what the guys are going to wear... Hopefully going to look at options on Saturday.

Ordering invites, food tasting at the our venue next week, cake tasting in 2 weeks, finish registering, hair trial. Lots coming up!

Carson, what was wrong with your dress?

I ordered it over the summer when I was 26 lbs less, I was so sick from my appendicitis and had it so long. So when I finally had surgery and wasnt throwing up 10 times a day, I gained all my weight back. Dress is a size 0, I need between a 4 and a 6.

Order invites & wedding bands, select our florist and start alterations on my dress. There are so many things, but these are the main things I want to get done ASAP.

rd716, the candles are adorable. Is your theme wine related or are you having your reception at a winery?
