Some guidance please...

Ok so I'm trying to get this out in one breath ...
I saw a review here for a limo svc I was contemplating on using....she just wrote in one of the boards about how the limo svc never came back to p/u the groomsmen <arrghhh /> ...It was called Red Oak Transportation .... I was thinking of using them because they don't require a 3 hour minimum which is what I need. My ceremony & reception are all at the same place. Does anyone know of a Limo Svc that does one ways? I may be using them for a pick up at the end of the day but right now I'm concerned w/ getting me and my bridal party there.  Also anyone ever use Anna's Limo Svc? I was at a bridal show and heard they offer that pkg.

Secondly ... Did anyone ever use a wedding coordinator for the day of? Who did you use?

Lastly - 2 parter...I was pretty sure I found my dress. Again not sure if I was settling because it was the first one I actually ended up liking? I'm not due to go and get my measurements until Nov...waiting to lose a few lbs ... did anyone ever second guess their choice? i'm wondering if I should go to one other bridal shop to see if they had anything else that impressed me? My friend tells me don't do it...but I'm afraid when I go back in Nov w/ my bridal party the dress isn't gonna be all that I thought it was.  2nd part....I can't find a place that sells the exact gown I want my girls to wear. I'm afraid having them go and get measured and ordering it and it coming in and I hate the look. I need to see it live I don't know what to do?Anyone else run into this problem?

As usual - thanks for your help -
Lee

Try calling Emerald Car Service in Pearl River.  We used one of their limos recently for transportation to and from an awards banquet - they may be able to work with you.

Lauren Paige is my coordinator and has worked with quite a few on this board.  I am very happy with her and am using her for full planning.   I would say if you are more comfortable trying some more dresses so you can be sure, go ahead and do it.  I tried on probably close to 100 before I decided and now I feel confident about my decision.

If you haven't ordered the dress then keep looking.  At the least you can reassure yourself.  If you did place an order for the dress then just move forward.
As for the BM dress, where did you see it?  Can you call the company to locate a local shop that may carry it?  I can't imagine that there isn't at least one place in the area that carries it with how many shops there are and with our vicinity to NYC.  If you can't see it in person, I would not order it.  You don't want to be suprised by fabric or how it looks in person.

Ditto. Definitly keep looking for your dress. You may love the you have found so far, even if right now you only like it. Sometimes, it's not a "wow" the minute yuo put the dress on, but more of the dress you keep comparing all the other ones too. So, check the other store. If you keep thinking about the dress that you now think is the one, you will know it at that time.

Just make sure that you order a dress that you love how it looks on you now. (Just in case you end up not losing the weight)

As far as the bridesmaids, if you have never physically seen the dress, I wouldn't get it. There is so much at stake and the way that certain fabrics fit is not something that you want to leave to chance. Even if al your girls can't try the dress on, at least one should so you can see if you like the way it hangs on her body. The lines in the picture may not end up where you envision them. (Waist line, hem line, bust line) You want to make sure you like how it fits. (And the girls too! But if you can get one girls to try the actual dress on, then the others can try similar styles to see if they like the shape or cut)

But you need to see the actual dress. As pp said, see if the manufacturer can locate the dress for you. Or see if it's on a loaner program. (Not sure if that exists for BMs though)

But don't buy something sight unseen. Also make sure you at least see the color in  a swatch or (ideally) in a dress. (It doesn't have to be the exact dress that you want. )

Good luck! Let us know how it goes!
