Confession 1 day late

I got an invite from our friends that are getting married the Friday after us.....and I was really jealous!  She was going with the Knot's 3 month timeline, and I was always planning on doing it at 2.5 months, but it was a reality check.  It also made me frustrated because I feel like I'm really behind.

    We have 11 overdue items and I dont plan on sending invites out till 2 months before so dont feel bad at all.

    I ordered my invites online and am not even getting them until next week.  We will probably be sending them out about 2 months before.

    Well my oot ones will go out at 8 wks and locals at 6 wks. If they are all done at the 8 wk mark I may send them all at one time. I only sent STD's to oot people and a few others I know would need to request off way in advance.

    My goals for invitations has always been between 8 and 6 weeks! Also, my FI hasn't picked a suit, the GMs aren't finalized, I need to get BMs dresses figured out, I haven't gotten my dress in person, no clue what music we're doing. Ack!!!

    I had a serious convo with the FI about how intense the next few weeks are going to be. I hope my being so far behind makes you feel better!

    lol, I don't want to feel better from your list!  Honestly there are just a ton of little details for me too.  I haven't heard about my dress still either!! 
    The other invite just stung a little bit because although it's a small overlapping group, I our mailings are all second fiddle to their wedding.  They got their STDs and invites out before me.  Oh well.  Irrational frustrations!

    </div><div>I know just what you mean.  I got engaged last July and had my date picked soon after.  Since then, two friends have gotten engaged and picked their dates one or two weeks on either side of my date.  I feel like people may choose to go to their weddings and not mine because of the timing, cost, etc..  I know it makes me a brat for saying it, but mine was planned first!!!  LOL *end diva moment*

    My mom is pushing that I get the invites out soon but the majority of our guests are local and already know about the wedding they are just waiting for the official invite. I want to wait til the end of august, but they might go out sooner if I finish the last 13 invites before then. We have 4 OOT guest but they are older and probably wont come because they wont be able to make the trip so I dont think they will come so giving them more than a month to respond probably isnt needed.
