CA Bumpie needs your advice!

Hi girls, I was a knottie way back in 05, since then I've moved on to the bump, but my little brother is getting engaged and I was hoping you had some good ideas of where he could shop for a ring in the D.C. area (I live in Southern CA so I have no clue what is out there).

He actually lives in Purcelville, Virginia, but as he said: "There are no malls here, just cows."

His budget is very limited so if any of you know of somewhere with good deals, that would be awesome. TIA for any advice.

Tell him to check out Blue Nile online.  They have great quality - we got our wedding bands there.  They also are VERY price competitive!

Christian Caine in Shepherdstown, WV (http:// christiancaine. com/) Shepherdstown is a 30 to 45 min drive. It is a pretty place and they are great!

Mervis Diamond Importers in Tysons Corner, VA. They have great sales, large inventory, and high quality.

Ketterman's in Leesburg.  Leesburg is only about 10 minutes from Purcellville, and they are a family owned business.  My friend gets a lot of jewelry gifts for his wife there, including, I believe, her engagement ring and wedding band.

My ring came from Mervis in Tyson's.  I had nothing to do with the purchase, but they seemed great to work with when we went back in for sizing; and that's where we plan to go for bands.

Thank you so much ladies, I truly appreciate the recommendations. Want to make sure my FSIL ends up with something decent!
