Carlyanne and any other Washington area brides- Reception Venues

I'm looking for local and inexpensive venues (preferably less than 60pp and including catering, linens, set up, etc) that are closer to Washington. I don't really want to go any closer to Pitt than Canonsburg.

I looked into the Washington golf club but I want to check it out more. Any other local ideas?

The total budget is 5k we have about 3500 for the reception or 4k of it includes a dj. We will have 50-75 invitees.

I have no idea of costs/details/quality, but some places you could check:

*The Candlelight Room -- Washington (I recently saw this listed on a DJ's website)
*The DoubleTree (might be $$$ now that it's DoubleTree and not Holiday Inn)
*Rolling Hills Country Club (worth a shot... not sure about $)

... that's all I can think of right now... but I'll keep thinking...

I hadn't thought or Rolling Hills yet so I emailed them. Thank you.

My reception is at Rolling Hills.  They may fit into your budget with that small of a wedding - the room might be a bit big but they don't have a minimum dollar or guest requirement.  Our reception is going to run about $75-80/pp BUT that includes appetizers, dinner, open bar, linens, chair covers, DJ service (if you use Mark Zini), and cake (if you use Signature Desserts).  Definitely check it out!

We also looked at Valleybrook Country Club down that way, but it's more expensive than RHCC.

I didn't actually look at venues in the Washington area, but my suggestion would be to check out Lindenwood Golf Club.  I really don't know the prices, but I do know they are "reasonable" (whatever that means).  Have you checked the GW hotel?  It may be pricey compared to your budget, but I have no clue.  Also, the Ramada off of Chestnut could be an option.  It's been a while, but my sister had her reception there and they were wonderful to her!

Lindenwood is closed in November. The gw is crazy expensive. I've called Ramada, glad to know someone had a good experience there. Oh and congrats Carly. I haven't seen you in a while but I hope your day goes great.

If you are willing to go just a wee bit farther... the Crowne Plaza by South Hills Village will be close to your budget. Pricing may have increased since my info, but they had meals starting at $62 and the package included a lot -- chair covers, centerpieces, hotel room for the night.

A couple more places to check:

*Palazzo 1837 Ristorante (Rt19 by the Meadows) -- might be able to work with your budget.  I've seen ceremonies performed there, too.
*All the hotels by the Meadows (not sure if the new ones have banquet rooms).

I didn't realize that was you, Autumn:) If you want any more feedback/info on the Ramada, feel free to ask my mom or have her get you in touch with Justine. You may also want to talk to them about Ray (Justine's husband) - he recently started dj'ing and since he's new to the business, he doesn't charge much.  Also, not sure what you're looking for photographer wise, but Justine photographed a wedding this weekend, so they just charged a little extra to provide both services. Hope this helps! I hope you find what you're looking for!

There is a place near the Washington Wild Things park called Jeremiahs. It is located above Jumper's Junction. We had my grandparents' 50th anniversary party there. its a bigger room but they can partition it off. I'm not sure about price but they did a really wonderful job and the food was AWESOME.

Jeremiah's is great to work with - I've had a variety of work meetings that I've planned there, and have always been impressed with the staff.

The Meadowland Doubletree skyrocketed in price when they were bought out - I looked there and had some serious sticker shock for what they were offering!

Southepointe golf course is really lovely, but I'm not sure what they charge.  I know they have some smaller banquet rooms that are just as pretty as their large one!

    Good luck!
