Cake Bakers

We are getting married at the Pavilion of Two Sisters and Haydel's bakery comes with our package. Does anyone have any reviews on Haydel's? We are wondering if we should go with a different baker.

    Haydel's is one of the best bakeries in the New Orleans area.  They have been around for years and alway produce a good product.

    Haydel's is really delicious. They have a great reputation and I'm definitely using them for my wedding at City Park too. One of my friends that is an event coordinator said that Haydel's always delivers their cakes on time and in great condition. Apparently there are a number of other bakeries in the area that don't!

    We are getting our cake at Haydels for our wedding in June.  We did a tasting a few months ago and everything was awesome.  They have been so helpful so far.

    We are also using Haydel's for our June wedding.  We just ordered our cakes this past weekend.  The lady helping us was really nice.

    Not that it matters, but I wanted to add to what the others said. I was also a City Park bride and my reception was at the POTS. I was really worried about getting our cakes from Haydel's. We hate fondant, but love the look of a smooth cake. I went with it anyway and I certainly do not regret it. I've never seen such smooth buttercream in my life!
    One of my guests actually wrote on her FB page that my wedding cake was the best she'd ever tasted. The middle layer of my cake was chocolate with praline filling. From what I understand, it went FAST. The bottom layer was triple layer white (or almond) cake. Between layers 1 and 2 there was lemon filling. Between layers 2 and 3 there was chocolate filling. The combination was fabulous!
    The groom's cake was a triple layer white cake with raspberry filling. It was also delicious.
