  2. Ages (met/married): Met at 19/22 married at 23/25
  3. Do you like FI's last name? Are you "taking" it? It works! haha And yes I am.
  4. Where were you born (city/state)? I was born in Kansas City, KS at KUMed!
  5. Where do you live currently? (city and/or state)? Shawnee, KS I haven't moved at all with the exception of college.
  6. Where did you go to college? University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg.
  7. Do you root for any college/professional teams? Rock Chalk Jayhawk KU! I'm not into professional sports. 
  8. What was your major? Biology with a focus of Biomedical/Cellular
  9. What is your current job? I'm still a student working on my undergrad, unfortunately. That's what I get for changing my major...
  10. What is your dream job? Working at KUMed! I'm leaning towards going for my Masters in Microbiology or going into Pharmacy school.
  11. How did you and your fiance meet? We met on a blind date. It was set up by our mutual friends who were dating at the time (are now married). We all met up to go eat, play mini golf and hang out until early in the morning at the lake just talking.
  12. When did you get engaged and how did he do it?? We got engaged February 14, 2009. He waited until after midnight so it was officially Valentine's Day. We exchanged our gifts (I gave him his first) and he gave me a flower that had a cup on top and when I pulled it off the ring was inside. He got down on his knee, asked me to marry him and I said of course!
  13. When is the Wedding Day? Is there a special reason for this date? October 10, 2010. No special reason. I wanted a Sunday in October and was leaning towards the 17th when my Mom mentioned 10.10.10 (didn't even think twice about the date). We checked with the venue and they had it available so we took it!
  14. Where is the ceremony and reception? The Hawthorne House in Parkville, MO
  15. What are your wedding colors? Apple Green and Tangerine Orange with accents of Chocolate Brown and Ivory.
  16. Where are you honeymooning? Sheboygan, WI in the Spring. Ryan won't get much vacation days until April so we're waiting until then. 
  17. Favorite wedding vendor so far? Hmm...I'd have to say our Florist Amy from Victorian Gardens. I love flowers in general and after talking with her time and time again, I'm so excited to see it all come together!
  18. Biggest wedding splurge? Well everything was budgeted for but I'd say I put a high budget for my wedding dress. I wanted to make sure I got what I wanted.
  19. What is something you wish you could have at the wedding but don't? A Photobooth. It's just not in our budget unfortunately.
  20. Is there another knottie's wedding you'd like to attend? No one in particular, everyone on here is pretty great! But I know Chrissy and Kristen the best so them for sure!
  21. Favorite book? Pride and Prejudice 
  22. Favorite movie? Love Actually
  23. Favorite tv show? Right now, Vampire Diaries is a fave but I also love Glee and Private Practice
  24. Favorite wedding dress designer? Melissa Sweet!
  25. Any advice you can give? When you're getting started, write down everything that needs to be done so you have a checklist. If you plan to buy a lot of stuff yourself, space it out over time and get it done when you can. One thing that has really helped me stay organized was to get the big vendors done first (even if it's early on) and when you have your Venue, take lots of pics and then figure out decor. That way you know what needs to be done and what to get and where it will all go. Also, get the DIY done ASAP so you're not rushing! haha 
  26. Anything you wish you could change about your wedding? Nothing at the moment! haha 
  27. Share something about yourself!! Well, I'll share some weird quirks about me. Whenever I need to repeat something, I always change one word around. When I go somewhere, I tend to take another way back - if it's around town. Also, something that's not a quirk is Ryan and I have a 6 month old puppy - he's so sweet!! We love him!
