Does anyone have any reccomendations for a DJ in the area? My bro in law is one, but of course I want hiim to enjoy the day so I do have HIGH expectations for our DJ, but don't even know where to start!
Midwest Sound is pretty awesome. Full disclosure, I used to DJ for them, and still know a lot of people there. But they really work to pair you with a DJ that will be a good fit for what you are looking for -- they won't send the 60-year-old guy who knows nothing about modern music to a young couple's wedding whose guests will want to dance, or they won't send out the super active, gets crazy guy if all you want is someone to set up lights and push play on the music.
Definitely check out Scott Cornell at http://BluEyesEntertains.Us He's DJed several events I've been too and is really good. I'm using him for my wedding as well. He's a great guy! Good luck!
Adagio is great! That's who we used and they were very accomodating to our unique musical requests. Jay was super professional and showed an infectious passion for being a DJ which a really appreciated on our wedding day!
We used Midwest Sound, I was real happy with them as a company, but gotta say, our DJ did not stand up to our expectations with all the good things I've heard about them. He didn't listen to me at all, I would have to talk over him for 20 seconds before he would stop talking, and he felt the need to follow his "flow" rather than listen to what our guests wanted to listen to, or what I told him to play. I've heard really good things about them, I think I just got a dud.
