Where are you getting your flowers???

I live in Hampton, and getting married in Newport News.  I have gotten one flower quote, and it was $1300.  That is for the men and women of the bridal pary, parents, grandparents, pew flowers, 2 arrangements for pillars, and one arrangement for the head table.  I have not booked any other appointments yet, but is this too much?

So, where are you ladies booking?

That doesn't seem that bad. It depends on what you asked for (the extravagance of it).

For mine I got 6BM Bouquets, My bouquet, 7 boutonnière's, a mother of the groom flower, cake flowers, and 15 centerpieces. Includes delivery and set-up (MAKE SURE THIS IS INCLUDED IN YOUR PRICE!)
    Total: $3010.98

Now mine are all roses and include large vases, votive candles, birch branches, etc. ++ Ours came with our wedding package so I believe they were slightly discounted.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, one of my GF's is getting married in October and she got all yellow Daisy flowers. Her total package (she has 9BMs) was only $800.

Let me know if that helps.

I live in Roanoke, VA. This may seem ridiculous and you may not want to do it, but we are having our flowers done by our local Kroger. She does tons of weddings and has a great portfolio.

The only downside is that the flowers aren't delivered and set up. That wasn't an issue for us. We are going to have about ten - 8' tables with two quart sized mason jars full of flowers on each table. In addition to the mason jars, I have been collecting small, old glass bottles and will be randomly placing them on the tables with about 1 flower per bottle.

I am going with a simple wildflower/just picked look for all of these arrangements. For all of the above plus 7 boutineers (sp?), 4 corsages, and 4 bouquets, she has quoted me about $300.

Just an idea. Huge difference of cost of living btwn our cities though :)

    Good luck!

Another idea is order from Sam's club.  If you do a search for wedding packages, they have really good reviews and really good prices.  Be aware that the flowers are very simple though.
We ran off to Vegas and got married!

This is a little late, but I hope you still see it.

I used Jeff's Flowers in NN (on Jefferson near the mall behind Rec Warehouse). We had only personal flowers (BMs, GMs, parents, etc.) no centerpieces and we paid $450. They will make you a complitmentary toss bouquet, too. They were great to work with and the flowers arrived early and looking fanastic. I would highly reccommend using them.

Here is a link to our photog's website so you can see the flowers. We used daisies, dahlias and peonies.
