I'm looking for a venue around Chattanooga where I can have both my reception and ceremony in one place. My wedding will be in July 2011. Due to the heat I'm undecided on whether to have it indoors or out. Any suggestions?
I'm planning my wedding for June 2011 and like, you I'm worried about the weather (rain). The Hunter Museum and the Lindsey Street Hall are my favorite choices so far. You can find Lindsey Street on facebook.
There is a beautiful bed and breakfast at the foot of lookout mtn, I believe the name is Lookout Lake Bed and Breakfast? They have a gorgeous gazebo and lake on site and if it was too hot or the weather bad you can have a very nice ceremony inside too. We went with the Marsh House in Lafayette Ga ultimately because of our ties to that community and my family's history with the house.

I'm getting married in October this year. We're having our ceremony and reception at the TN Aquarium. The ceremony will be outside overlooking the TN River, and then reception in the Ocean Journey building. The base rental fee is $2700 for both buildings and the outdoor pavilion. You do rent your chairs from them and use their bar setup, but we found it all to be reasonabliy priced. They do have a couple of options for indoor ceremonies.
I'm an out-of-towner as well! planning a chattanooga wedding from seattle! O.o The TN is my number one choice, but the hunter museum looks BEAUTIFUL as well. the lindsey street hall people were incredibly friendly on the phone and wanting to help in any possible way, but you cant rent anything from them besides the facility. Does anyone know how outragious the Chattanoogan can get? just curious... I wont be able to make appointments to meet with anyone until christmas time
