I just got married on Penscola Beach yesterday and there was no need to worry, the beach is beautiful! No oil, no tar bars, and the water is clear. I swam in it yesterday. I'm glad I didn't change my venue because everything turned out beautifully! So, any of you knotties planning your wedding there can relax, at least about that part of it! ; ) My only complaint was the heat. It is freakin hot and very humid. Any of you still deciding on a date, I recommend May or wait until September (temperaure wise). We still had a wonderful time of course, but it was all outside, and even with the fans, we were all pretty sweaty by the end of the evening. But, I did get some really good pics before turning into a sweat ball!
I still feel bad for the vendors there. I know the spill has to be killing their business. On the other hand, great time to go since the beach isn't as crowded as usual.
