Going off of Butterflyjumper's recent post about her FI, I thought we should share something about what makes each of our FI's great. I don't know about any of you, but I've been super stressed lately and need to take a few minutes to remind myself how wonderful I really have it.

I love it when FI does...He has called me beautiful from the get go. I'll walk in the room and am greeted with "Hello Beautiful". It still makes my heart melt.

    I love it when FI... teaches me something new, explains something to me, or basically just shows me his intelligence.

    For whatever reason, I have always dated guys who are... for lack of a better word... dumb. I'm a smart girl, so there's no reason for it. My most significant ex never graduated high school because he failed his final math exam. He also had multiple DUI's. So no common sense, and no book smarts. I think my self-esteem was suffering and I felt better knowing that I was smarter than the men I dated.

    Anyways, FI is the first man I've dated who I see as an intellectual equal. He challenges me, we can have intelligent conversations and debates, and we can both admit when the other knows a subject better and are willing to ask questions and learn from each other. 

    He does a million other wonderful, loving things, but this is the thing I see as what will keep us interested for the long run!

    I love it when FI...says "babe..I love u" on a random..I could be cooking he could be watching t v and he'll just blurt it out..he so sweet !

    I love it when FI comes home or picks me up from work with some little surprise for me. He knows I have a serious sweet tooth and sometimes he'll bring me some little dessert he knows I love. It's nothing big but it honestly makes me feel so special and loved when he remembers those little details about me most people will forget. It shows how well he knows me. It reminds me how perfect we get along and how much I really do love him :)

    I love it when FI does the dishes! I hate doing them and he knows that so it's amazing when I come home or go into the kitchen and they're done. I love a lot of other things about him, obviously, but that's the one I thought of when I came downstairs this morning before work.

    I love it when FI says "no matter what I just want you to be happy"! And he truly means it, I can see it in his eyes. I just love knowing that we both want to give 150% to the other person and not think about ourselves, it makes things work out well!!

    And on a slightly sillier note, I love when FI wears jeans... he dislikes them, I love them, I think it makes his butt look so cute, so he'll wear them whenever we go out for date nights, adds another fun note to the evening!!!

    I love it that he always takes care of me when I get sick and NEVER complains about it. In December we both had the stomach flu and he was still taking care of me even though he was throwing up nonstop. I'm a huge baby when I get sick :)

    I love love love the fact that my FI knows how to cook!! I know how to cook too, but it is so nice that he actually wants to cook for me. I love that!!

    I love that FI writes me love letter e-mails when I am traveling for work, and I always have one in my inbox when I wake up in the morning.  It is such a wonderful start to the day, especially when I am in a foreign place.

    I love that when FI and I get in a tiff, we give each other a little space, he'll go downstairs, pick up his guitar and play some totally sappy love song that TOTALLY cracks me up!! The other day we were fussing at each other, he went downstairs, picked up the guitar and belted out Tim McGraw's "You're My Best Friend" and about 2 verses in, I was doubled over laughing. Cracks me up every time.

    FI always encourages me whether it's professionally or just that it's ok to slow down and do something for myself (I'm really bad at that.) Smile

    I love when FI lets me take naps, surprises me with breakfast in bed. Doesnt seem like much but when your a stay at home mom I need my naps some days!
