What do you have to AW about?

My AW is that I LOVE my engagement photos. Having the engagement session with my wedding photographer has made me so much more comfortable with having her for the wedding. FI and I both loved her and she made us feel very comfortable.

My first AW is that I survived what seemed to be a terrible weekend for us all.

Secondly, perhaps inspired by sparkles, we're going to the Rascal Flatts concert in St. Louis on Friday night! We went last year and absolutely loved it so I'm really excited to be going back again. Our seats are quite a ways closer to the stage this time, and we're under cover from the crazy hot sun. It's going to be so much fun!

I made out like a bandit this weekend (although a broke bandit) and found THE dress, a veil and a gorgeous birdcage decoration/card holder (both for $40) for the reception at the "garage sale" at the dress shop my mom and aunt got their dresses at.. I love sales

I found the dress I want to wear for our London partay! It's on sale for $99 at David's Bridal, and I have $150 in alterations for a local seamstress, so I think I'll get it shortened to knee-length and pockets added in. Now I just need a great hat.

My AW is that yesterday I went through my closet and literally got rid of almost half of my shirts/skirts/dresses. FI and I had a heart to heart about why I keep things when I don't need them (i.e. shirts/skirts/dresses that I don't wear). It was nice, and then we went shopping for school clothes, which was wonderful. I now have some super cute teacher clothes for this year

Whereas I'm not ready to give up my quiet days at home, I'm really excited to start the next school year. I miss some of my students, and I'm excited for all the changes I'm making for this year

ETA: I apparently don't know the difference betwee "know" and "now"

Ems, your cupcakes totally made my mouth water!

MrsK, keep us updated on house stuff still. Are you still going to work on getting the same house, or is it a complete bust?

My AW is for my wonderful FI. His aunt came up from Biloxi for his moms birthday and she gave us a very belated house warming card with a $200 Visa gift card in it. It was really nice of her and my FI told me to keep it and put it towards a wedding dress. I asked him a hundred times if he was sure and he kept saying yes. He said if I still end up wanting the budget busting dress after I go shopping again Friday I can use that to cover part of it and we'll come up with the rest out of the money his mom gave us for wedding stuff. So sweet of him! I really thought he'd want to put it towards the deck and was so surprised that he insisted I take it for a dress.

bferg- Have a great time! It was an absolutely awesome concert. I went last year too, and I liked this years more.

ems- I want to stuff my face with those cupcakes right now. They look awesome.

mrsk- Are those Grosse Pointe South colors? Thats where my FI went.

My AW is NWR, We are going to Vegas next week! I am really excited and it just hit me over the weekend that it is almost here. I havent let myself think about it or get too excited because it was so far away when we first booked it. This weekend, I made a month by month checklist of things I want to get accomplished by the end of the month. The things on my August list are to book a videographer and book our hotel room block. Not too much, because we are so busy, but September and October are going to be huge wedding planning months for me.

My AW is also vacation realted, and will probably be my AW next Monday too since I have nothing else going on, lol. One week from today FI and I will be in the Bahamas!!!!! Yay, can't wait.

So my manager has been going on vacation a lot lately, and she was supposed to go to the PA student transitions conference at Penn State this Wednesday-Friday (my company helps students with disabilities get jobs and prepare for life after high school). Last Friday, she called me into her office and let me know that she doesn't think she can get all of her July paperwork done and still go to the conference, so she's delegating her responsibilities to me and sending me instead! I'm really flattered because she chose me to go over the other 5 people in my department! I have to attend all these workshops and lectures on special education, but I'm really excited because it almost feels like a vacation since I get to get away for a few days! Plus my MOH lives in Penn State so I get to visit her on Friday after the conference is over!

Ems I'm definitely going to make those cupcakes. I'm going to have a lot of baking to do between those and the slutty brownies! Cnf that is really sweet of your FI. I hope you get your dream dress. MrsK I really hope the inspection goes well. If there is something big can you renegotiate the price? My AW is about my FI. We've been having a rough week between my grandfather in the hospital and FI being stressed over interviewing for a new job and deciding if he wants to keep training for the 2016 Olympics, we've been fighting, a lot! Anyway, last night after we had both showered and were ready to bed, he had candles lit and love songs playing on the iPad. He re-proposed and we just layed together and listened to love songs till we fell asleep.

Yes I meant GPN lol. FI still has a bunch of hockey shirts from HS so lame, but they are all gold and green.
