can't sit in my dress :(

i can't sit in my DRESS!!!!

my dress is a mermaid fit... and it's too tight to sit in....

has this happened to anyone else?

they are taking it out a bit.... but i'm a bit sad...

I'm so sorry to hear that. I don't have that problem. Actually, the last thing I did with my ball gown before I bout it was make sure I could sit in it.

You have over 2 months before your wedding, could you eat really healthy and hit the gym a little bit (please don't be offended by that, but 5lbs could make a world of difference)

Seriously, this sounds really simple-- but don't drink anything but water-- and drink lots. It will flush everything out and has no sugar or empty calories!

With most mermaids it shouldn't be a problem. You should be able to perch on the edge of the chair while sitting with good posture. It's not what most people are used to (slumping into the chair), but it's better than nothing and somewhat makes up for that by creating a very poised look.

That was always my tactic with slim fitting prom dresses - hike the skirt portion up a bit before you sit down, so the wider part gives your thighs some room.
