Erin Keough and Brad Carlson--Please HELP!

 I'm SO stressed out over finding a photographer. I've looked at dozens of them only to find their way out of our $2000 max. price range or they're booked for our 6.11.11 date.  Someone on this board suggested Erin Keough. I've emailed her and she's available and in our price range.  Then I went to weddingwire.com and checked out her reviews...they were HORRIBLE! Several people gave her scores of 0.3 out of 5! There were also some great reviews, so now I'm completely confused. If anyone has worked with her or knows of anyone, please let me know!

A few people also suggested Brad Carlson for videography.  I just received his contract and there are some things that I'm questioning. For instance, his packages include unlimited time but he leaves an hour before the reception ends? I know that the last hour will probably just be dancing, but you never know. He also refuses to accept a vendor meal and requires a seat among the guests, which I just thought was odd. Has anyone had experience with Brad? Any problems?

Thanks for the help! I'm having a major panic attack since we're only 5 months out and I still don't have these vendors locked down.

    I'm sorry your having a hard time finding a photographer!  I know how stressful that is; I don't really have much help other than Erin Keough's website is no longer available - that might be enough of sign to look elsewhere...good luck.

    Not sure where your wedding is, but you could look at Baltimore photographers.  I am using Annabelle Dando and she will be traveling to the Gettysburg area. 

    I am getting 6hours with digital images and repriting rights for $1300.

    Thanks for the suggestion! I sent them an email. 

    My wedding is in York, PA, so I'm open to any photographers that will travel there and not charge me an arm and a leg for mileage!

    Check out Susquehanna Photographic.  They're located in downtown York, and their rate is $200/hour.  You get the ownership of your photos.  We were really impressed with them.

    We used Brad a little over a year and a half ago. He was great. Have you discussed the items you are concerned about with him? Any time my Husband or I had a question about anything, he answered us and answered promptly. He is very easy going and professional.

    Look into Radiant Images in Manheim-  They have different packages available.

    I went to high school with Erin. At first I wasn't a huge fan of her work (this was three years ago when she did my friend's wedding). However she has VASTLY improved in the past year or so. I will say that she is a good photographer from the direction/personality stand point, but I've not heard what she's like when it comes time to talk business.

    Thanks for all the suggestions! I'm glad to hear Erin is back up and running! I think I may still have to keep looking for another photographer though.

    I have checked into Solas, Susquehanna Photographic, and Radiant Images...they're all booked for my date :(

    I met with Erin in December and absolutely LOVED her! Even though I will admit I am slightly taken back by some of the reviews on her wedding wire, I will say that meeting her and seeing her easy going personaility and seeing her work definitely wins me over with her. I agree with SCBojangles, her work has vastly improved than what she has to offer when showing her sample albums (she told me when we met that she is in the process of making new sample albums). Check out the pictures on her facebook, they are amazing! As soon as I get the go ahead from my FMIL, we will be booking her for our 6/9/12 wedding!
