OakBrook reception

Is anyone having their reception in Oak Brook? Where? I have looked at Drury Lane and OB Hills Marriott. I am not sure how I feel about them. Anyone have good/bad experiences?

I'm not sure about those two, but I had mine at the Hyatt Lodge in Oak Brook, and it was absolutely fantastic.  They were such a huge help.  Another place to look at that I liked if you don't have too many guests was the Oak Brook Bath and Tennis.

I just went to a wedding at Drury Lane.  It was so incredibly beautiful!  A big downside was that it's not a hotel... you really don't want your guests driving home or to their hotel drunk.  If you'll be providing a shuttle to a nearby hotel, Drury Lane would be great.  I wasn't that impressed with the Marriott's service when we went to check it out.  We ended up having our wedding at The Drake in Oak Brook, but sadly, they haven't re-opened yet.

    Hope this helps!

  • There are two hotels walking distance (right next door) to Drury Lane. There is no reason to provide a shuttle because your guests can walk right to the hotels. That is one of the reasons we chose to have our reception at Drury Lane. Our guests have the option to stay at the Hilton Suites or Hilton Garden Inn where you can also set up a block of rooms.
