  Honestly, my experience with Blanca was 180 degrees from yours (my wedding was back in March). Blanca was great and very sweet, and I have no complaints whatsoever. If she picked up the phone during our meeting, I don't remember, I probably didn't care. She gave us her suggestions after we explained what we wanted, and we let her talk because she is the flower expert. The arrangements turned out perfect and we loved it all.

  
  

  That said, it sounds like you have a very specific thing in mind and I think if you don't click with a vendor you might want to try another one since you have to deal with them so often.

  I had a similar experience and have not decided not to use her. I am planning a wedding from out of state and e-mailed her for a quote. She had the cheapest quote of all the places I've contacted. I tried to schedule a phone consulatation with her just to go over what my vision is and some of the logistics. She gave me three times to call. Everytime I called she was not available and did not return my voicemails. When I did manage to reach her, she was brusque and pretty much cut me off. Her prices may be great, but I'm looking for someone who is warm and most of all RESPONSIVE. There are other vendors who are still affordable but are WAY easier to get a hold of. Right now I am choosing between Flowers by Carol and Karma Goddess. Both have been incredibly organized, kind, and helpful. Hope this helps!

  I am using her for my flowers...I am also an out of town bride. I worked with her via email for months before going in. When I went in I told her what I wanted and the look and feel we liked, we discussed pricing etc. She also answered her phone during our meeting but that did not bother me, she usually told the person she would call them back.
  
  Overall I thought she was pretty straight forward, she wasn't overly sweet but I did not think she was mean or harsh by any means. My overall impession was she knew her flowers, she knows what she is doing and she is going to do a good job.
  
  I didn't think she was "rough" but I also wasn't expecting anything from her lol.
  
  I have seen her work and I think for my budget and the quality and type of flowers I am recieving I like her a lot. I met with a lot of florist before booking her, while most could stay in budget they wanted me to have cheaper flower types.. 
  
  So if you don't love her go with someone else, but I think she will do an awesome job and save a ton of money.

  MsAmeera25 you couldn't have said it better. I agree 100% with you.....and I didn't hire her to be my friend, but to do a job and keep me within my budget. Budget wise, no one else could do what she did with the budget we had. No regrets at all.

  I have chosen Blanca to also do my wedding coming up next Friday. At first I did feel like she was a bit rude but I just sat and kept asking questions and looking at her books. Our initial meeting we spent about an hr looking through her albums and work and then her husband took my FI and toured us around the entire store at the time. She then opened up. My trial centerpiece was exactly what we wanted and beautiful. I met with many florists and for my budget she was by far the best, better quanlity, and able to get all the flowers I wanted where others where no where close to our budget and didnt even include all the things Blanca is including plus she didnt ridiculiosly charge me since my wedding is Mothers Day weekend.

  The other lady we really liked and clicked with was Flowers by Sandra, if u want to try her she just majorly upped her price cuz of mothers day. Good Luck and you shouldnt chose someone you do not trust.

  Blanca has a rough exterior. I have heard some of her phone conversations. She was nice with me and gave me everything I wanted at the price I wanted it to be. I did not hire her to be a friend, I feel she knows her stuff. We will see in a couple weeks! If you had a bad experience with her then I would think about choosing someone else though

  I plan on using her but have only corresponded by emails. I sent her pics of my ideas and she emailed back with prices that were very affordable. I then put together a list of items and quantities and asked if there was a contract to sign. She emailed back asking for a deposit but no mention of a contract. I haven't gotten around to sending the deposit yet but I was wondering if you other brides had a contract to sign? Seemed kinda sketchy.

  We had a small contract that just listed all the items, their prices and the total. I think it was like one page. You should definitely ask her for that if it makes you feel confortable, and I think if you're in South Florida, it wouldn't hurt to meet her before you agree to hire her.  GL!

  I sent my deposit before signing a contract, when I went in to meet with her we finalize each centerpiece, ceremony stuff etc and she listed the exact flowers, prices and we both signed. I remember her telling me there was no contract until we finalized the flowers since it gave me time to change my mind.
