Re: deerfield beach wedding venue!?!?! need help!

  • try deerfield beach resort by wyndham. thats the one we are highly considering. marybeth has been nothing but helpful with all my questions. their prices are reasonable (less than the others we have looked at) ... the beach ceremony is only $300...there is no venue fee and no cake cutting fee, like a lot of other venues... PM me if you would like more info. HTH :)
  • You can try Royal Fiesta. That was my original venue but I switched.

You can try them too ... but they arent necessarily "beach"; they are on the intercoastal ... yes, they're in deerfield (just on the other side of the hillsboro blvd bridge), but if you truly want "beach", the deerfield beach resort by wyndham is probably your best bet. that or embassy suites deerfield beach. there arent many options in deerfield if you're going for "beach" ... for us, we dont care where it is as long as its beach. we were also considering Royal Fiesta (ive been to a reception there, it was alright, nothing impressive really) but then we found the deerfield beach resort and we actually went there. marybeth wasnt there when we went (mid-late sunday afternoon, just to pick up information because we were in the area) but i have been in contact with her a lot through email. she replies quickly (no later than 1 business day, if that) and as i said before, has been very helpful. ultimately it is your decision, but like i said, the price is great for the services you would be getting compared to the other beach hotels in broward. it just really depends what you want.
  • Definetly try wyndham, its a great suggestion. Royal fiesta isn't really on the beach, but it is an option for a reception. Its a close by but nothing special.

  • Thanks ladies, really we are looking at it just for the ceremony...do any of the hotels just do that or do you have to have the reception there as well. thinking about trying to have the reception in my backyard, w/ a tent and stuff...

deerfield beach resort by wyndham might ... like i said, their fee for the ceremony part is only $300. Im not 100% sure what that includes though. It may just be the space and you have to rent chairs, get your own officiant, etc. i know some cities want you to have an off-duty police officer and the minimum I've found was 2 or 3 hours... which i find ridiculous, seeing as how the ceremony is only going to be like 30 minutes, lol.

if you want just ceremony, you might want to check with the city of deerfield beach to see what their requirements are for a beach wedding. that i do not know. and off the top of my head, i do not know the city's telephone number or website either.

*edit: the off-duty police is what I've found for Hollywood... not sure about Deerfield Beach...
  • thanks ladies!! appreciate the feedback!
