Floral budget help- especially from those w/ high centerpieces

I am just trying to figure out if the florists I've met with have been on the high end or if what I want is just going to be really expensive and I will have to change it.

For those of you who had high centerpieces, can you give me an idea of what you paid per centerpiece or total floral budget? I am getting quoted around $200-250 per centerpiece from florists that rent vases (or a tiny bit cheaper if I buy my own vases)

And then if I do some high and some low, the low centerpieces were $125-150.

I need 15 centerpieces, 1 bridal bouqet, 5 bridesmaid bouqets, 2 church flowers (small), flowers for 2 grandmothers, 2 mothers, and 8 single flowers for the guys. My quotes have been between $3300-$3600. Oh, and I should mention I dont care what flowers I have, as long as I have a light pink and white mix (my colors are light pink, silver, and black)

And I getting high prices or is this just what flowers cost? Thanks so much!

We are having low centerpieces that cost $75 each. We were originally quoted a higher price and asked the florist to use flowers that would be in season but still our colors (purples, green, and white). The price ended up dropping $50 dollars for each centerpiece. I also think that florist prices vary greatly.

In the end, we are getting 12 centerpieces, 1 bridal bouqet, 3 bridesmaid bouqets, 1 flower girl bouqet, 3 corsages from mothers/grandmother, 6 bouts for the guys/fathers, and flowers for the cake. It came out to $1600.

My high centerpiece quote was $150. they suppy the vase.  I ask the florist if I needed to go to $200. but he assured me that $150 would be enough.  He will make me a sample and then I can see if I love it.  I am using the Potted Geranium in East Hanover.

Florists can be kind of frustrating because there are so many variables that it can be hard to compare prices.  Even if you're specific in your instructions, different florists may interpret them differently and come up with all sorts of different quotes.  And you do pay more for a high-end florist, but you kind of need to decide whether their quality and creativity are worth it for you.  Maybe meet with one of the more budget-oriented florists to see what their quotes are and whether you feel comfortable working with them and go from there?

We paid I think $225 per table for our centerpieces, which were three low pieces (two small low arrangements and a container of grass).  I think we definitely could have found a lower price if we shopped around, but we really liked the florist we picked and were willing to pay more to work with her.

I am in the process of looking for a florist now too.  I went to a florist the other day and was quoted 3,000.  I would be getting 20 tall center pieces (includes rose petals and candles), 1 bridal bouquet, 5 bridesmaids bouquets, flowers for 2 moms and 2 grandmothers, 9 boutonnieres, 2 arrangements for church, bows on every other pew, church runner, and flower for the blessed mother offering.  I thought it seemed like a very good price.  I am going to check one or two more places to compare, but I really liked this florist.

I just saw my samples of tall centerpieces tonight with Yumilla from Metropolitan! The prices were $100-$150. They were absolutely stunning! I couldn't choose just one so I picked all 3! I decided to alternate them on the tables.

Its not a terrible price that you wew quote. What kind of flowers did you pick? If you picked generally expensive flowers, something that is out of season, or that has to be flown in of course it will cost more. It also depends on how much greenery or other types of filler they are including an arrangement w/ little/no filler will again be much more expensive.

The amount of flowers I need is very similar to what you're looking for, I'm also doing high and low centerpieces. I was quoted $200 for high's and $150 for low's. I'm paying about $4,500. But I'm also using black magic and sterling silver roses along with other seasonal flowers, so that's probably why my flowers are on the higher side.

I used A&W Florist in Kearny.  Adam is such a nice guy and I feel like I got a great deal.  I was quoted a little over $3000 for:
25 tall centerpieces (calla lillies, hydrangea, and orchids), 1 bridal bouquet, 7 bridesmaids bouquets, 11 boutineers, 2 corsages, 1 small bouquet for my mom, 2 church arrangements, 6 pew decorations, flowers for the blessed mother, and flowers for our cake.

We have 20 high centerpieces along with the other flowers you mentinoed and our quote is a little more than half you're getting quoted. I'd contact Avenue Florist and see what he can do for you for a more reasonable cost.

I'm also doing high CPs and mine are $150 each and the florist supplies the vase.  She made a trial CP for me and I loved it.  It really depends on the design,  the type of flowers and the season.   I would definitely checl out several florists.

Today I made appointments for four different florists for next week.
I will need 11 low centerpieces, 2 arrangements for the ceremony site, bridal bouquet, 4 bridesmaid bouquet, 3 corsages, 6 boutonniere.
I have no idea how much that will cost me, because I know that are many variables.  But I am hoping to spend less than 1500 dollars.  Do you think it would be possible?
I am very flexible about which flowers will be used as long as they mach the color of my wedding.
