Cube Vase

Ok....so my mother is insisting that I give away the centerpieces at the wedding. The gorgeous 6" cube silver mirrored vases the florist show me will cost $20 each (times 16-20 tables). Does anyone have any suggestions on where I may be able to get them cheaper?

Honestly I would try to find something basic, if you vase is 20 dollars and I am planning on using carnations in mine and that costs about 25 dollars for flowers, you are racking up money really really fast.

Save-on-crafts.com has 5 inch square vases for 22.20 but they are just standard vases.

You could also try the recycledbride.com or the classified boards, but vases are a lot to ship.

If you really want those vases, you could also do your centerpieces yourself by purchasing bulk flowers and make them the day before your wedding, or you don't have to do every table, we are only do 5 tables out 20 with flowers on them. just to give an added pop of color.

Why not just use clear glass vases (you can get them at any craft shop) and then place them on a square mirror (your florist should be able to rent you them or you could buy them at a craft store or at Home Depot) with scattered votives and petals on the table. This will give almost the same effect as the mirrored vases (which are pretty cool and I have never seen them before) but will cost you less and you won't feel so bad giving them away.
