Response Card Issue

So we are having a dinner buffet, but I have no clue what to put on our RSVP cards.

Ideas? This is what we have so far:

Re: Response Card Issue

  • And I think they will take the check boxes out. If I put nothing down ther eit looks naked.... Damn decisions.

  • Can you just space it out and leave off the bottom 4 lines?  We are having a buffet too and ours only has the top five lines too, but just spaced out.

  • We are serving dinner family style so our RSVP card just says:

The favor of your reply is requested
on or before the twenty fifth of August

    M  (blank line)

       Joyfully Accepts
       Regretfully Declines
       Number Attending

If you are on the FB page it is posted on there. I think if if you contact the company designing your invite they will word it & space it however it you would like so you don't have any empty spaces.
  • Ours have "We look forward to celebrating with you" under the accept/decline lines. This used up the excess space.

  • you could add a line to let them request a song? i would have loved to do this (saw the idea on pinterest) but i had the opposite problem - not enough room on the rsvp card!
    Happily married since 9/1/2012!

This is a great idea!  Or just space it out like PP said.  We just got invited to a wedding that under the attending/not attending they needed number of adults and number of children.  If that applies (children meals at a discount) I'd do that.
  • Alrighty thanks, ladies!

  • I added a line on mine that said: Dietary Restrictions: __________
FI isn't overly close to a lot of his family, so I wouldn't know if there's a major allergy or something I should be aware of. Even with a buffet dinner you run the risk of not having something for a guest with dietary restrictions unless you know ahead of time...
  • I wanted to put the dietary restrictions because I know a few in my family that have gluten issues or have special diets.  After asking people's advice I opted against it because in most situations I've been involved with people gave a heads up and most didn't find it necessary to put on the RC.  It could be something to consider though.
  • As I said, we're not close to his family so not sure I'd even talk to them before the wedding for them to bring it up hahaha Guess that's a different situation in itself :)
