That last thread made me think of HONEYMOONS!

Have you guys already shared where you're going? If so, I can't remember, so apologies for the repeat question (if it is a repeat!).

We're going to Mauritius for 6 days and then Johannesburg for a night and then safari in South Africa for 5 days. Can't wait to see some animals! According to the Mauritius website, it won't be too hot (it'll be in the 70s-80s), but that will be decent beach/tennis/hiking/exploring weather. http://lesaintgeran.oneandonlyresorts.com/ 

South Africa will be slightly cooler (esp. at night) because it'll be winter there, but I have always wanted to go on safari and knew this would be the only time we'll have enough time off from work to go! http://www.andbeyondafrica.com/luxury_safari/south_africa/sabi_sand_game_reserve/and_beyond_dulini

    aww yeah, the knot is so ridic today.  Your honeymoon sounds amazing!

    We're going on a mini-moon to San Francisco and the Napa area for four nights. We don't have time for anything longer b/c FI only gets 2 weeks off this summer, and he's using the first week for the week leading up to the wedding. I really want to go to Asia (a 2 or 3 week trip to lots of countries), but we're going to have to hold off until at least our first anniversary.

    Wow, that sounds amazing! I'm dying to go on a safari type trip, but my FI doesn't like the idea so much :-/

    Bmore: That sounds like a FANTASTIC minimoon! I lived in CA for a few years back when I was younger and you're going to loooove it.

    Meagan: I've always wanted to go to Maui! A friend of mine went there for her honeymoon last year and had the most fantastic photos!

    New to this board! Hi everyone! I am getting married 7/7/2012. We are going on a 5 day cruise to Cozumel and the Grand Cayman Islands. I had my heart set on an Italy cruise but it's not in our budget. We did however win 50% off any Norweigan cruise to use before 2015 so we are thinking we will use that in a year for a babymoon!

    You'll have SO much fun!! I went to Africa in 2002 with my dad and we did a lot of safaris in Kenya & Tanzania. My parents also just came back from South Africa, they were in Johannesburg too and went on a safari for about 3 weeks.

    We are going to Maine for 9 days .

    All of these HMs sound great!! I'm just so excited for a vacation! We are going to Turks and Caicos. It took us forever to pick a place! It was even harder than choosing the venue lol.

    we are going to Aruba for 10 days I can not wait!!!  It has been about 2 years since I went to Italy.  FI has never left the US so I am very excited for him he has no clue how gorgeous the Caribbean really is!!

    Wow - I'm having some honeymoon envy. Everyone's trips sound amazing!

    FI and are heading to Italy for our HM. 3 days in Venice, 4 in Florence and 3 in Rome. FI has been before but I haven't so I absolutely can't wait. I've heard Venice is amazing. Anyone been?

I'm sure that we'll do a lot of traveling while living abroad, though, since everywhere is so close and FI's family lives all over the place. Bmore: You'll actually be really close to us! We're <strong>getting married in Sonoma county</strong>, which is just west of Napa, and our trips probably overlap. So much tasty wine :)

    bridetobe - one of my FI's GM is from South Africa and they also did a South African safari for his and his wife's honeymoon a few years ago... the pictures are unreal!!  You guys are going to have so much fun!

    We're going to Hawaii for 14 days.  I'm not looking forward to the flight, but I think it'll be worth it.  And then I took another week off of work so I'm ridiculously excited for a much needed break.

    Good thinking...we [I] planned ours from a Tuesday to a Wednesday and conveniently told my boss that I would need 2 weeks off for the wedding.  No way am I going back to work for the rest of that week!

    Ally - that's exactly what I did, too!  I figured I'd need a couple days to change my license, SS, and other stuff... and my car registration expires this August, so I'll need a few days just to get my sh!t together and settle with my new HUSBAND.  (eek!)

    Fiance and I have been to Venice twice! It's absolutely amazing. If you're up for exploring, I have the name of the BEST FOOD IN VENICE. Seriously, it's a hole in the wall place filled with locals. If you're interested, PM me!

    newenglandorr: The name of the restaurant is Trattoria Storica. It's a bit off the beaten path (near the Promenade) but seriously, SO worth it. And reasonably priced, seeing as Venice is really expensive! http://runawaycook.blogspot.com/2011/02/lets-have-another-go-at-this-trattoria.html 

    We actually got engaged on our last trip to Italy (Lake Como, Florence, Rome, Venice, Milan), so if you need recommendations, please let me know!

    everyone has such incredible trips planned!!

    we are going to zoetry in the riviera maya for 9 days. it is an all inclusive wellness + spa resort. fiance and i are both yoga and organic food junkies, and that is what our resort is all about. we have our own jacuzzi and private pool in our beach front suite..i can. not. wait.
