I've shared details on these boards about my family and my love for dogs before so I thought I'd share the horrible news. I had two 4 year old Boxers. Our male, we got from a reputable breeder in SoCal and our female (Roxy) we adopted two years ago.
I normally post about my dogs goofyness and how they're awesome and my special love for this particular breed but today I'm posting with a heavy heart.
Our vet called us this morning to inform my husband that our poor Roxy didn't make it. She died last night but the cause is still unknown and it's kinda hard to keep it together at work. We took her in two days ago because she was running a fever and she just looked dazed, she was eating and drinking but it was still not normal for her to be so calm; the vet said that as long as she was drinking she'd be fine but they'd keep her just to make sure everything was ok, well yesterday, she didn't eat solid foods. she was tube fed and her health completely deteriorated. I haven't talked to the vet and these are just bits and pieces from what the Dr. told my husband but we're just a mess today. I don't know how we're going to tell our kids.
