TYE DYED SHOES

one of my BM went out and bought tye dyed shoes that apparently match her dress but i specified that i wanted black...the other girls have tried to help me implying that it was not cool but she has only said that you cant see them under her dress....which i dont see how it is possible...how do i tell her that for pictures and the ceremony i would appreciate black shoes nicely

Re: TYE DYED SHOES

  • I have a bridesmaid that wants to wear silver shoes instead of white.. but she hasn't fought me on it.  I think it's pretty rude to go out and buy shoes that go against what you suggested.  Just explain that you want the bridesmaids to wear black shoes.  Maybe she didn't realize that you were serious?!  IDK... but I'm sure if you just tell her again then she will realize that you're serious.  Or have another BM do it.

  • I agree with the fact that it is your wedding and your pictures that you will have to look at for the rest of your life.  The shoes WILL show through under the dress- walking, dancing, etc.  Plus think of the garter shots that your photographer will do.  Explain to her that you want the shoes to be black so there is a uniform look.  If she still throws a fit, suggest finding a cute outfit that she can wear the shoes to at the rehearsal or even at the reception... at least they won't be in YOUR pictures. If she doesn't understand, give her an ultimatum...
  • Exactly.  I agree with PP.  She agreed to be in YOUR wedding.... and therefore she agreed to abide by YOUR decisions about the day.

  • How could Tie dyed shoes match anything? I she wearing tie dye? I'm guessing not.

why would a BM do a garter shot?  I don't think it is THAT big of a deal.  No one will really notice.  Why cause a fight.

Photographers usually take pictures off girls showing a leg. So I'm guessing that's what they mean by "garter shot"

  • what colour are your BM dresses? Print shoes are really popular right now. I'd ask to see them, and try to live with them, shoes are a pretty personal thing.
