Has anyone here ever used Carlo's Bakery (the Cake Boss bakery) for groom or wedding cakes? I'd like to order my fiance's groom cake there, just wanted to see what all goes on, etc.

    You might want to ask this on the New Jersey and New York boards.

    For what it's worth, a friend of mine who lives in Hoboken said that the quality of the cakes at Carlo's has gone downhill badly since they started the show.  In her words they are more concerned with producing the cakes that will be on the show than the cakes for every day customers.

    ETA  -  I don't know which part of South Jersey you are in, but I seem to remember that McMillan's bakery in Collingswood near Philadelphia (down the road from The Pop Shop) makes really great cakes.  Not cake boss fondant cakes but cake that you make a special trip in the middle of the week just to get a cupcake kind of cake.
