registry question

We registered today at Bed Bath and Beyond...
We are also registering at Target.
Since they are a little pricey, we were wondering...do we register for the same stuff at target that we did at bed bath and beyond?
for example....
knives, or a vacuum, or a place settings?

I would register for only one of each.  Because what happens if you get 2 vaccuums, ya know?  Or for place settings, what if you get a few of each kind.  Then you only have half a set that won't match.  Register for the one you like better for each category.  If it's too expensive for someone, they just won't buy it.

Yeah just register for one.  Otherwise you may get a lot of doubles.  I figured most people use their 20% off coupons when shopping at Bed Bath and Beyond so it helps with the cost.

I would register for one of each of those things. Honestly. We registered for more expensive small appliances, knives, & cookware and people went for that stuff before they went for the smaller things. I think you'll be surprised. I was really reluctant to put the expensive stuff on my registry, but in the end I think people liked it because they could just pick out 1 thing and run, and not have to run around BB&B looking for all the small things.

Ditto PPs. Also, some ppl wil suggest that you have 3x the number of items as guests (ie 200 invited = 600 items in registry). I think that's a little much. Have a nice variety on your registry, but don't add stuff just to meet a certain number. My shower is in a few hours. I'll let you know how it went :)

Do not register for the same thing at more than one place, especially dinnerware.  You'll probably end up getting both, and then have to take a bunch of stuff back.  Believe me, you'll already be taking stuff back (even things you registered for!) so don't make more work for yourself by having to take back duplicates that you registered for.

I registered at BB&B and Kohl's. And I didn't double up on anything.
