centerpiece help!

Hey ladies,
So I'm having my reception on the gateway clipper.  I am trying to think of some fairly inexpensive centerpieces to use.  the clipper does not allow candles with flames and I prefer not to use a lot of flowers because we have already spent so much on the flowers we do have. Any suggestions for some nice centerpieces that don't require candles or tons of flowers?? Thanks!!

ps Go Steelers!

fruit (limes, lemons, something in your color scheme) in a bowl or a tall vase

or something like this - it only uses one flower.

Can you give us a bit more info about your wedding? there are plenty of non-floral, centerpieces that do not incorporate candles but a direction or theme would be really helpful in order for us to better help out with suggestions!

You could do fruit as md suggested, sticks, the large feather sprays, birdcages, you could even do a prop type thing like a sailboat or something with moss or ivy around (of course all depending on theme or direction).

So if you provide us with a bit more info and we could probably give more useful suggestions! :) GL

Well, I don't really have a theme.  My colors are indigo, pinks, and white.  My wedding is a summer wedding.  The lack of theme is why I think I am having so much trouble.  I'm completely lost and am running out of time.  Too many other distractions in life right now, not leaving much time to plan!

If you still want to use flowers and not spend a ton, I know several people who ordered their wedding flowers from Sam's club (you can buy them bulk/low cost online) and do DIY flower centerpieces with vases from The Dollar Tree (which you can also order their vases in bulk online as well). Another idea would be to work with a grocery store like Giant Eagle for flowers - still way cheaper than most places. Since its a summer wedding, flowers are always pretty! And if you still dont want a TON of flowers in the centerpiece, add some of the cool long twigs to the vase as well (you can always buy those at Michael's with a coupon!).
