Sounds good!  Do you have ideas for your flowers yet?  You'd better get on that!

And you don't have a caterer??  hmmm...maybe you should do that before the flowers :)

  • Congrats on the progress! Are you DIYing the flowers/centerpieces? Otherwise, I agree with Nancy you better get on that! And what's your plan for food?

  • Congrats on everything you have done!  I would look for a cater before doing the flowers.
I am DIYing my centerpeices and I was able to cut the cost in at least half if not more by not having the florist make them.  My florist also gave me sites I could go to to get great deals on the items I needed for my centerpieces.

We have an idea for catering and have talked to a few resturants. Its mexican tacos for sure. We have been quoted prices etc. Thats def next on our list! We have been debating for a couple weeks with who we are going to go with and are going to make the final choice next week when we both have the week off for spring break and the kids go to the grandparents. My florist just emailed me today and the brides bouquet, bridesmaids, groomsmen, sweetheart table flowers, and the toss bouquet order has been sent in and we place our payment next friday. Now all we have left is the flowers for the tables!

  • I can't see all of the posts on this thread, but yikes, I would for sure get on finding a caterer!! Our catering expenses is a little over 1/2 of our entire budget (that's how expensive it is!) so I would definitely do that next.
  • PS: It also seems very strange that you are including undergarments as one of your big to-do items on your check list, haha! are you talking about what you need for underneath your wedding dress??
  • For some reason my response from earlier is no longer up. We have gotten quotes from a few places and decided to stick with mexican. We are going to decide which to with next week since the children will be with their grandparents for spring break and FI will have the week off of work. I know the flowers its just a matter of purchasing them and the centerpieces are DIY but the bouqets, toss, groomsmen, and sweetheart table is all made through a florist. As for undergarmets I def did not mean undies, more like the petty coat. We have spent the most money on our lighting and photographer. Our food is simple mexican street tacos. Choice of beef, chicken or vegan with a side of beans and rice. I love mexican food so it fit for me. We found a place that will cater for around $5 a person. With my father putting forth $600 towards it we arent looking at paying very much. Esp. since I have purchased all of our tableware.
