Needing an LI Officiant

Hi Ladies~

So I am looking for an officiant for my August 2012 wedding. I realize this is a year away, but I am planning from CO and I need to set up some appointments for when we are back in NY next. My fiance and I are getting married at our venue site and outside. We wanted to get married in a church, but just due to living out here in CO and it becoming more of a hassel we decided to get married outside and incorporate the outdoors of our home here in CO into our wedding.

We would like to still have the catholic undertones throughout our ceremony and would prefer to have a catholic minister or someone with catholic ideals to be our officiant. However, I have no idea where to even begin looking....

Any help is much appreciated!!!

    I attend two weddings where Rev. Sica performed the marriage and the first time I thought I was at a church.  He is wonderful  But he gets booked fast as my cousin tried to get him a few months ago and he was already booked.

    I was raised Catholic, and a Catholic priest won't marry you outdoors - according to the rules of the faith (or at least, the faith as it was taught to me), you have to be married inside of the church or it doesn't count.

    That being said, you should be able to find an interfaith or other Christian minister or reverend who will marry you. Ask your venue if they have a list of recommendations.
