Where in New England are you planning to go?  Since New England encompasses 6 states (Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont), I could be more helpful if you pick a state and also can tell me the month you are getting married in.  There are some great museums in Boston (although I hate driving there, its horrible but I know lots of people who are not from Ma who like going there).  Hampton Beach in New Hampshire is nice (but the water is pretty darn cold) and affordable.  I had a lot of fun in Lubek, Maine a few summers ago and it was an affordable trip (but a long drive, even from where I'm originally from-northwester Ma).  It was especially affordable because we stayed in a hotel right on the wharf, but it was basically an apartment (dishwasher, dryer, full kitchen).  There are lots of great places to go in Vermont and there's always hiking/other outdoor stuff to do.
  • We're looking to go to Boston for a day or two(staying outside of Boston though), Ogunquit Maine and Portsmouth, NH. Any suggestions for these areas?
