Is a backyard wedding trashy? I know it'll save us a lot of money on a venue and its not a big wedding, I'm very unsure about this.

    I don't this its trashy. Backyard weddings are very personal and family oriented.

    Just make sure you take things like liability insurance (if your guests will be drinking) and your bathroom situation (you may need to rent port-a-potties if you don't want everyone to come through your house).

    Lets face it, Here in the South, we spend a lot of time outdoors, and many yards prove that when you look at them.  Look at more like the British would have a "Garden Party".
