Ceremony Only Venue Search (Somerville/Cambridge Areas)

Does anyone know of any covered spaces in gardens, parks, pretty places, historic sites that will allow you to hold a ceremony? Fall of 2013 so need to be prepared for rain or shine - hence the covered or ability to cover.

I seem to be finding places that will only allow 4-8 hour rental blocks and/or require the entire event to be held at their location.

Somerville, Cambridge, Newton, Watertown Areas

    Have you tried calling the parks department in each of those towns? I would start there.

    Also, some city halls allow you to rent them out so I would look into that as well.  The Newton one at least is really beautiful from the outside.

    Arlington Town Hall might be a good option. It's a great historical building. There are also a few historical buildings in Lexington that have indoor/our door flexibility.

    Thanks for the posts. Town halls are not my style but it was a good idea! I haven't called the Parks departments directly but ive reviewed many of them and they all seem to be playgrounds/baseball fields - which isn't particularly romantic. I will keep trying!
