So I am having a hard time figuring out what to get the 3 Moms for wedding day gifts. My FI is ordering engraved beer mugs for the groomsmen & fathers, I want them for the bridesmaids too but might not. Anyway, I don't know what to do for the 3 Moms, my mom his mom & his step mom. Originally I was thinking vintage hankies & getting them embrodiered but the ones I find that I think could handle it already have too much detail. Now I'm starting to think brooches? What are you doing for your Mom & FMIL(s)?

Our parents are getting photo books post wedding. For the wedding, we'll give them custom hankies that we are going to hand write messages to them on with fabric pens (similiar to the embrodiered idea).

FI's mom is getting a frame engraved with our wedding invitation on one side and an engagement photo on the other.

My mom is getting a pair of earrings, similar to the style my father had made for her on their wedding day with a pearl added to give it a new look. I am also presenting my bouquet to my mom and paying to have it preserved for her.

Both my family and FI's family will get albums of wedding photos.

We're doing coffee table style photo albums for our parents that will be compiled after the wedding. They'll get a card with the info at the rehearsal.

Yeah I really like the hankie idea & I teared up the first time I read the one that says "Thank you for raising your son to be the Man of My Dreams" but then I started to think that makes it sound like its just from me instead of both of us.

Oh...the phtotobooks are from both of us...I guess he hanky is just from me. I don't think our mom's will care about what's from whom.

We're also doing photobooks for the moms. FI bought cufflinks for the fathers.

I think I found something & just do them as parents gifts. I already planned on photos later, but wanted to give them something that day too.

You know, I hadn't really thought about it to tell you the truth....but thank you for bringing it to my attention! Since I am making all the flowers for the wedding, I was making a corsage for both the mothers to wear and we were going to write little messages on the back of each for the mothers....I suppose I should be doing more???

The gifts for the moms are jewelry. My mom got a bracelet with emeralds and diamonds (got married in may). FMIL got a pandora bracelet with a few charms and FSMIL got a necklace.

I did the hankie for my FG. She has a book to give her pics of the day. (She is going to be 15 mos old when FI and I marry). Her hankie says "You are so very young but the years will pass by and you'll to be a bride in the blink of an eye. While you may not remember the day that I married, the part that you played or the basket you carried. So here's a hankie for the day you will say I need something for my wedding day."

i'm not doing gifts for the mothers. i will probably make them an album at some point though it may end up being a christmas gift.
