Cheap favors!

Hey everyone, I'm getting married in June and I'm at a loss for what to give as favors at my wedding.  I'm looking for something inexpensive, yet useful to the guest.  Any ideas?  Thanks!!

Edible favors are always appreciated.  Maybe cookies, chocolates, or a candy bar.

I'm handing out frosted glass votive candles with a personalized book of matches. I'm getting my candles from candles4less.com and with shipping it should come out to just under $1 per person.

I am getting married next September and in addition to cake I am wanting to do a ice cream sundae bar with vanilla icecream, chocolate syrup, toppings, etc.  At the place setting I am wanting to set ice cream sundae dishes or martini glasses as favors with ribbon and inside the dishes or martini glasses candy and then they can use them for the ice cream bar as well. (such as this
). That way they would double as party favors for the guests to take home.  My question is, does anyone know where I could find a large amount (200 plus) of martini glasses/sundae dishes for cheap?

Dollar Tree will be your BFF on this. They'd be a dollar each there, or maybe try Party City?

I really like the ice cream bar, sounds cute but messy. I saw DIY favors once that were pretzel sticks dipped in chocolate then drizzled with white chocolate and wrapped in cellophane. They were super cute and looked delicious. This would be a really affordable favor also.

I'm confused, so they use them at the ice cream bar too? So they bring home dirty dishes as favors?

I have thought of that Jeanna. That is a problem I have been mulling over.  We could wash them but not sure how that would work, in an industrial dishwasher because it would be 60 seconds per tray but I don't know.

<div>There are bulk restaurant supply stores online.  Check there.  They should be much less than Dollar Tree, even.</div>

Yeah....the sundae bar is cute, but I don't know anyone who would take the dirty dish home no matter how cute it is.

I'm making tile coasters for one of our favors. I got 16 cent tiles at the hardware store and mod podged on pretty scrapbook paper. I sprayed on a sealer, glued felt squares on the bottoms, and tied them into sets of 4. They will double as escort cards-- one per family. I made some to match our Victorian theme, and some more modern ones for our friends (who don't want the old fashioned stuff in their homes).

How much are you wanting to spend? How big is your wedding? I am only asking because my wife and I have been married for 1 year (this weekend) and we love our wine, so my wife created wine stem-ware charms to go around everyone's stem on their wine glass/goblet. They are really cool and you could make them with any colors. They are bendable and she even used them as napkin wraps around the cake table. Everyone loved them and we made an announcement that our guests could keep them. They are a cool-fun way to identify your glass at a party or an event. If you are interested she sells them on the side for $12/set of 4. She also has made decorative drink stirrers (for mixed drinks/coffee/tea/hot cocoa). If you are interested, my email is matzj@turnerusd202.org and I could send you some pics and more info!  Thanks!   -jake

Restaurant supply stores.  Google online for restaurant glassware and I bet you'll find something!

jake:  just for future reference, vendors are not permitted on these boards.  While I wish your wife well,  your posts have been reported.
"Trix, it's what they/our parents wanted. Why so judgemental? And why is your wedding date over a year and a half ago? And why do you not have a groom's name? And why have you posted over 12,000 posts? And why do you always say mean things to brides?" palegirl146
