Ring engraving

Just curious if you're having your wedding rings engraved?  If so what are you putting in them?

FI and I are thinking about it, but it takes 4 weeks for his ring...we have to obviously get it going ASAP to have them back in time.

We thought about doing "I like you...(my or his last name)" as that's what we said to each other when we first met before "love" and still text it or say it if you have one of those think of you moments (cheesy I know).  Who's last name would go in who's ring mine in mine and his in his?

I just want something more original than the date ya know?

    My rings are too narrow to be engraved, so that was out..
    We had his engraved just before we went on our delayed honeymoon.  Then, on the honeymoon, he lost it while we were snorkeling.  The replacement will not be engraved.  I wasn't impressed with the engraving (font, size, visibility, etc) AT ALL on the original ring anyway.
    We also didn't have any phrase like you mentioned above.  His said "11OCT09 and always" which I had hoped they'd be able to do in one of our fonts used in all our wedding stuff...  but, no.  And, on his tungsten band, the only "engraving" option was more of a compterized laser etching and if I hadn't known it was engraved, I never would have been able to see it. 
    Do your research before sending them out for engraving.  This can always be done after the wedding too...

    Just did this yesterday! We kept our engravings secret from one another(though I wouldn't surprise if we end up having the same thing done).

    I had "Come What May" and the date of the wedding engraved on his, since it's been the "theme" of our relationship and will our first song.
