Florists?

Hello ladies!!

After reading all the other posts on florists, I had a meeting Monday with Barb from Belaks.  She was so wonderful and really helpful!  I didn't tell her my budget, but her price was right on par with what I was budgeted to spend.  But I don't know if I should get another quote before committing to her.  I looked at Teresa's and Yukie's but they both seem pretty expensive.  If I like her and she has such a good reputation, should I even look around?

I agree with wicked! If you like her, stop. Shopping around just to save a couple of dollars can be sooo stressful and time consuming. It's worth it if you don't find anyone you like yet but if you like someone and their work and the price is right then what else do you need??? :)

I agree, there's no need to shop around if you already found a vendor you're happy with.  I was very very very very happy with Belak's.

i have only heard good things about belak's, i've heard yukie is really expensive, my MOH used ramone's for her flowers and they were really nice, i think belak and ramones are the only ones i'm going to check out...i'm really tired of looking at a bazzilion options so if you liked belaks pricing/style i would stop and move on to something else...

You made a fantastic decision going with Barb and Belak's.  Our flowers were gorgeous, correct (a huge thing!), labeled correctly (great help for the guys), sturdy (no blooms fell out), and lasted a week after, which was wonderful considering I had some delicate flowers in there (lisianthus, for one).  She really did an awesome job on them, and I was in love with them all.  She got everything right- even the special one for our RB, who is Autistic- we did a fake bloom for him (in case it ended up in his mouth, we didn't want anything poisonous or the like), and we did a magnet instead of a pin so in case he decided to rip it off (he didn't), it wouldn't hurt him.  She actually was the one to come up with that idea, and it worked wonderfully.

The flowers arrived in vases with water, standing upright (huge for me, I didn't want them laying down and possibly getting flattened on one side), and were on time.

Barb was also wonderful to work with beforehand- I made so many changes with things (all my issues with my BP), and she worked with them all no problem and made it all so easy.  Fantastic choice, going with her.
