First Post--Venue Help Please

I think I am stuck on my venues. We are looking to have 100 guests and an outdoor ceremony spot with possible outdoor reception as well.  We are on a tight budget, so I am looking for anyone who has any feedback on the following places:

Hotel San Marcos (in Downtown Chandler)
Inside the Bungalow
Windmill Winery
The Farm at South Mountain

Thanks! I appreciate it! :)

The Farm is gorgeous and we almost chose it.  What time of year are you thinking about?  The reason we walked away from the Farm was their in case of rain contingency plan.  When we asked about it, Nikki said "Well, it doesn't really matter because it doesn't rain in Arizona!"  I'm pretty sure they have a plan involving tents, but I really didn't feel confident about signing at that point because getting info about the plan was like pulling teeth.  It's a shame because we had the contract in hand at that point!

It's something to keep in mind, hope that helps.

I didn't look at any of those on our venue search, but I did get pricing from a few of them and I think San Marcos is one of the more expensive ones on your list.  You may want to look into Ocotillo Golf Resort too.  I know they have a pretty nice patio for an outdoor reception.

I actually just went to a birthday party at the Farm at South Mountain, my only complaint is the parking! Im not sure if they have separate parking for weddings, but on that particular day it was extremely difficult to find a space. But the scenery was beautiful!! Another con was two of the guest that were invited had a severe nut allergy, and therefore could not attend!
As for the other venues, I have not actually looked into any of them, hope this helps!

When are you planning to get married?   The Farm looks a little desolate during the winter months, when the grass is dead and trees bare.  It was one of my favorite venues from the pictures, but I was disappointed when I visited the property in January.  If your wedding is the spring, then I'm sure it will be a completely different experience.

Side note: The Farm does require that you use Santa Barbara Catering, which can be pricey.

Here are pictures from a recent wedding that my photographer photograhed at Inside the Bungalow.  The last 2 are lovely!

I think San Marcos just declared bankruptcy, so you may want to be careful there.

We are getting married at Ocotillo!  It's lovely.  They have an outdoor green area that is a cost saver and the reception for it is on the patio.  We are doing the terrace for the ceremony and ballroom for the reception.  Can't wait.  GL.<div>PS, Hadn't heard that about San Marcos.  If that's the case, my heart goes out to any brides there.</div>
