Is anyone else getting a lot of "we're coming to your wedding we just keep forgetting to send the card back"?

It's so annoying, we sent you a pre-addressed, stamped envelope and all I want is for you to mark the freaking meal choices and send it back! My coworkers are doing this a lot - they can just hand me the bloody RSVP card!

    I am!!  I can't take it.  But nothing beats my grandmother saying "why in the world did you send me an invitation?  You just wasted all that money on a stamp!  You know I'll be there"  I simply said in return, I thought it would have been a nice keepsake for you.  Her response "You still wasted money."

    Ughh I'll never win!

    This is definitely the GOOD side of not having mailed invites yet.

    Achi I really like this newer sig pic. I love the sillouhette (sp?) - both pictures I have seen from you have a touch of quiet (and classy) intimacy. Your photographer has made me smile!

    I thought it would be a nice keepsake too.  I feel like for certain people I should've just sent the invite w/ no RSVP since I know they're going to be there.  You think 49 cents isn't a lot until you multiply it by how many people you know for sure will be there.

    OMG it's SUPER annoying!! we've had quite a few people say, oh yeah we're coming but will send out the rsvp next week... well next week came and went and still no RSVP. We have invited 200 adults and only have 137 RSVP'd so far and this coming Monday is the RSVP date. I'm super annoyed to have to follow up with THAT many people - especially since a lot of those people I know are coming to the wedding. Once you know if you're coming, why not just make everyone's life easier and mail back the freaking RSVP? Grrrr!! (Sensitive subject - can you tell?) Tongue out

    Yes! I had a shower last weekend for my FI's side of the family and a few people said, "Oh I'm coming, I just have to get the RSVP out" Really?! If you know youre coming you only have to write your name and drop it in the mail!

    My boss's invitation is sitting on his desk.  I'm not sure if he and his wife are coming or not, but every time I go into his office I want to force him to hand the RSVP to me.

    I feel the same way!! I just don't understand-just write a number, lick it and drop in mailbox!

    My Aunt told me the other day 'sorry I haven't sent out the RSVP I am just not sure what meal to choose', really just choose something its one meal, Im not asking you what you want to eat for the rest of your life!.

    I think everyone needs to take a chill pill (yes, I know I haven't sent out my invitations yet, but I'm not going to be annoyed at everyone that says their coming to my wedding verbally before sending the RSVP).  It's not like the RSVP date is today! Some people are procrastinators with mailing things, but they'll get to it eventually.  I'd be much more annoyed with someone sending back the RSVP too soon and then changing their response or their meal choice.  It's easier to wait (until the deadline) and have them get it right, than to have to change it after the fact.

    Definetely having this issue. I would say 6o have not come in, but about 25 are verbal yes'.... I hate it and told FI he's going to have to nag them....I will nag my side and he nags his...
