B&M

It's my first day back in two weeks and it's going okay but I'd still rather be at home.

My little family is falling apart right before my eyes.  My dad is back in the hospital with a bleeding ulcer this time.  My mom probably should be in the hospital with vertigo.  She can't even stand up straight on her own.  Their house is in such bad shape due to all the trips to the hospital and being sick.  I am actually considering taking some time from our sick bank to stay with them for a week or so to get things back in order.

Julie, I'm so sorry!  I hope your family gets better.  :(  I'm praying for them.

It's Monday....I worked 4 days in the past 2 weeks and getting up this morning was so hard...

I've gained probably around 6 pounds (that's a guestimate since I'm too scared to step on the scale...but I will tonight because I'm starting back to my goals) since screwing up my ankle.  I was on this big roll and working out and staying motivated and then I got hurt and I haven't had the same motivation.  But today, I'm getting back in the groove.  Healthy food, going to the gym after work, and being more positive.  My goal is 15 pounds by my 26th birthday (6 months from now) and another 10 pounds by the December White Rock Marathon.  We'll see.

I'm very sorry to hear that Julie. Hopefully your family will be out of the woods soon.  :(

I don't have much to B&M, just that TCU is 1400 times better than Cincinnati and deserved to be ranked higher.   Oh well, the big game is tonight, I can't wait!!!!

Also, registering was not nearly as fun as I thought it might be.  I have a feeling we are going to get a whole bunch of the mid-range stuff that I felt obligated to put on there and none of the good stuff that we actually need.   I was exhausted from "shopping" all day, but we came home empty handed. Ha.

I'm not even sure if I will have a shower.  Nobody really cares, seriously.

My Christmas break was pretty crappy.  First, we find out that David's car needed a lot of work done, especially on the transmission.  The total amount of work exceeded the value of the car since it's 10 years old with 150,000 miles.  So we were basically forced to go out and get him a used car.  Luckily Carmax gave us a good price for his car, so we were able to put some money down on the "new" car.

David's dad left for good this past week.  His mom found out he had been cheating (again), and he he walked out on his family (again).  He said he's not coming back this time, and he's packed up a lot of his stuff.  David's mom will be changing the locks soon as well.  I know that it really sucks for his family seeing their dad leave, but I couldn't be happier.  This man constantly sucked the life out of my MIL and his kids, and he never appreciated any of them.  The only time he spoke to anyone of them was when he needed something, and he's an extremely selfish individual.  I hope I never see him again because I think it's the best for everyone.

Julie, I'm so sorry, I'll be thinking about all of you!

I had a wonderful trip home. Great holidays, and we had a blast at our engagement party. My only B&M is that I'm back in Nashville. I'm really happy to get back into my routine, but it will be seven weeks before I see FI again. I'm moving back the weekend of February 20-21, so hopefully after that we won't have to ever be apart for that long again!

I gained a few pounds over the holidays, but I think it's mostly water weight and should come off pretty quickly as I get back into my healthy eating/exercising groove. But I bought a strapless dress, so I seriously need to get working on my arms!

I am very sorry to hear all of these!  I hope everyone ends the week better than they are starting it!

Anna, your dress is beautiful.  I know what you mean about your arms--I got fanatic about mine.  But they looked better in my E-pics.  Oh well.

Both Ben and my daughter are sick.  Ben is so sick I had to sleep on the couch part of the night.  Whatever he has, I don't want it.

Thanks, Stephie! It's definitely different, but fun and whimsical. I wish my mom would email me the pictures from her camera!

    I'm in house remodel hell.

Jeff and I both took this week off to finish working on the house, pick up our furniture, etc. Well today we are cleaning out "his" closet and he is insisting on keeping T-shirts from junior high. It is so frustrating. I thought these "got lost in the move" before we got married, but apparently I missed a few.

On a good note, our house is coming along pretty nicely. We are getting our entire front porch redone this week thanks to the tree that was growing through it, but it wil be sanded, shiny, and my new adirondack chairs will look fantastic!!

I just wish Jeff would go to work and leave me here to do everything... Hmph!

Tiffany.....I agree!  I can't wait to watch the game tonight.  I am slightly bummed because my husband and I had offers to go to the TCU and the AL/TX game since my husband is from AL but I did NOT want to take a whole week off.  So, I will be enjoying the game in the comfort of my home.  Go Frogs!

My only BM, and this is kind of random, but I misplaced by little pouch that has my back up hearing aids and batteries on all the nights...New Years Eve.  I called the place we were at 100 times and they never answered.  So annoying.

So sorry to hear all the bad news :(

I agree with Mariah...now having to work full weeks the past couple of weeks makes this week torturous! And coworker is back and we are all just waiting to see what kind of changes she has gone through from her situation the past couple weeks. Hopefully she will stop trying to get me fired.

And I'm gettin sick :( But I stayed in this weekend and did pretty much nothing so hopefully it goes away soon.

Julie - I'm sorry to hear this. Your family is in my prayers.
Steph - I hope everything works out for the best.

I hope everyone that is sick gets better soon.

Our dryer went out over the weekend, and we really don't have the money to buy a new one. I have been looking on craigslist and these people will not get back to me. How do they expect to sell something if they won't respond? So frustrating. I don't want to take my wet clothes to the laudromat, but I'm running out of work clothes.

Thanks for all the well wishes.  I am trying to figure out a way to get everything taken care of that doesn't involve me taking a leave of absence.

I was very glad to have two weeks off and that we survived our travels to both sets of parents.  So given how monumental that is, I really shouldn't complain.

My dad's also having health problems, but they're his own darn fault because he won't take care of himself.  But it's still scary to hear that they're getting bad enough that there are times when he can't walk.  My poor sister is stuck at home listening to my mom yell at him and cry over it.  Not a good situation for anyone.

Best of luck with your training, Mariah! I didn't gain as much as I thought over the holidays, but I only went running once so now I need to kick my butt back into gear.  Jordan went to the gym with me for the first time in months.  I hope both our resolutions stick!
