NetBride

Has anyone ordered anything from NetBride.com?  This site is listed as a Knot "2010 Best of Weddings" vendor... so I'm guessing they're a legit website.  I was thinking about using them for bridesmaid dresses or possibly even my dress.

They are definitely legit. There are quite a few ladies on the attire board who have ordered from them and were really happy with everything.

Netbride gets a lot of good reviews on TK.  They are not a brick and mortar store, they're a warehouse in the US that carries the same designers but at a lower price.  Unfortunately what you don't get is service.

Another store like Netbride is Pearl's Place.  They're an actual brick and mortar store in New Orleans.  But they also operate like Netbride does.  If you decide to go this route, I would check with both.

It's possible to get a quote from them and use that as a point for negotiation.  When I was shopping last year, local boutiques were offering price matching.
ETA: Looks like the bride who wrote the vendor review right below this message was doing exactly just that.

For your dress, I would hold off until the annual Bridal and Formal tent sale in September.  Just know they're sample dresses and you will pay a lot in alterations if you're not between street sizes 8-12.  That may be worth it to you.  The dresses are around $200-300, some were $100, and nothing above $600.  You might find something you love there that it's worth the alterations.

I was in a wedding where my friend ordered from either netbride or pearl's place (I THINK pearl's place, but I'm not sure) - and less than 3 weeks before her wedding she called to check on the dresses since they hadnt come yet, and they had never been ordered! We had to scramble last minute and ended up buying something off the rack at macy's......that is my only experience with them though...

I'd hate to jinx myself, but I had my bridesmaids order from www.perfectbridal.com They received an A+ from the BBB and they are based in California (liked that it was US).

I"ve had a good expereince so far, they've all ordered their dresses, and a day or two after they call to make sure the order is correct, and wait until all dresses are ordered to start production (so they come from same fabric).  I just got an email confirmation that the order was places, and production will now begin... should be getting them in late July for an October wedding!  Fingers crossed...
