Restaurants in W. burbs for reception/restaurant pricing

Anyone know of any restaurants in the west suburbs that are nice, good food and pretty rooms with a dance floor for a reception?

I've heard that it's much cheaper to have a wedding reception at a restaurant room than at a banquet hall, country club, etc. Is this true? Examples of what you paid per head? So far, the CCs I've looked at for Sat night have been $60-$80/head w/open bar.

    No that is not completely true......

    Well what exact areas are you looking at. Also I think it would depend on what you guys want. If you want to be the only wedding my suggestion would be Chandlers in Schaumburg.....they have very very good pricing and they will work with you to get the business. Also there is the seville but you wouldnt be the only wedding (depending on your guest count). The Avalon (I didnt like the food).

    Are you willing to possibly do a Fri/Sun? Everything is soooo much cheaper!!!! My FI wouldnt allow it :)

    We had a small 50 person reception at Klein Creek Golf Club in their restaurant.  They closed it for the evening.  I don't know the exact $$$ per person since we hosted the bar but for a Sunday evening reception with heavy apps, cake, and hosted bar, it came in at about $2500 more or less.

    Meson Sabika is a restaurant and have a room..but I think it is also 60-80 per person...
    Check out Maggianos or Wildfire....:-)
