Pre-marital counseling

Anyone have a rec for pre-marital counseling? We live in the Springs and are pretty new here so we don't have a regular church. I'm just looking for a session or two or perhaps an all day retreat of some sort around Colorado Springs/Denver. Googling hasn't been much help and I'm skeptical about just picking a therapist office from the phone book. Any leads would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

ps. www.denvercee.org retreat is not just for catholics it for Non Catholics too

*** from website*****Although our retreats are centered around a Catholic perspective, both Catholic and non-Catholic engaged couples are welcome to attend. The retreat weekend satisfies the "life skills" marriage preparation requirement in the Archdiocese of Denver.

You might also want to check into "Weekend to Remember" put on by Family Life.  They have a session going next weekend at Cheyenne Mountain Resort in the Springs.  They do allow engaged couples at the conference.

Here is a link for it http://www.familylife.com/site/c.dnJHKLNnFoG/b.3204559/k.F5BB/Attend_a_conference.htm

If you want to receive a "group" discount you can use my church's name when you register - calvarybible

Also, though I am a non-Catholic Christian I have been to some Catholic marriage seminars and listened to some on CD and they can be incredible!  So the one mentioned previously might be a good one to go to.

Even if you have not found a "home" church yet, you might want to contact some of the larger churches in the Springs.  They usually have good local recommendations.

If you're looking for more of a marriage skills workshop in a secular atmosphere, this was great for us:

    http://www.livenlovewell.com/Power_of_Two_Workshops.html

It's not focused so much on talking about your own issues, but in learning how to deal with things that most every couple faces. Definitely worth the time.
