Favors?

What are your wedding favors?  I personally have no clue what to do for these.  Not to mention me & FI are on a very tight budget.

Re: Favors?

  • We were not going to do favors, but decided on cute flip flop bottle openers. They are about $1.80 each.

  • We're doing 2 chocolate truffles in a little Tiffany blue box.  The best favors are edible ones or donations to charity.

  • I actually got my favors from the Knot. FI is a farmer (hay and cattle) and also has a huge garden in the summer, while I am an avid reader. I found bookmarks on the Knot's wedding shop that have a detactable piece of seed paper that you can plant and grow wildflowers with. I just fell in love with the concept.

We are also on a tight budget. They are normally 11.95 for 12, but I caught them on sale for 8.99/12 and then had a code for 15% off.

  • We weren't going to do favors but I think that we might do starfish magnets that are very crafty and cheap.

  • You don't have to do favors if it's not in  your budget.  The best favors if you do do them are edible ones. You could candies in your wedding colors in a little mesh bag or something similiar.

We are doing a candy buffet.

  • I agree that the best favors are edible ones.

We are going to have a candy buffet, but aren't focusing on any colors. We're just going to buy a variety of candies that we enjoy and think the guests will enjoy.
  • We are doing a donation and cookie buffet.

We were going to do a candy buffet as well but decided to do pumpkin beer.  We have a friend that makes his own and it's amazing.  Should be pretty afforable too and pumpkin beer is our fave!
  • M&Ms and a donation.

  • If you don't have budget, don't feel that you need to do favors.  If you want something, just do something easy like a little candy.

We are doing a candy/nut/fruit bar.

  • FI and I are thinking either Cookie Pops or homemade marshmallows. Most likely homemade marshmallows because they are always a big hit and large batches are easy to make and they last a while.

  • We're canning homemade jam - definitely strawberry, not sure about the other flavors yet. The jars and sealing supplies come out to about $60 and we'll buy the fruit on sale, so in the end, it'll be about $1 per person. It's more of a labor of love than anything else.

  • We're giving out masquerade masks as well as mm's that will be in a tiny plastic baggy with a sticker that says thank you for joining us, with our names and wedding date. We might also wrap them in tulle.
  • We're doing hershey kisses in a box tied with ribbon in our colors.  FI are both choc-aholics, so it has meaning to us.  :)

  • We're doing a Candy "Bar"...as in a candy buffet in jumbo alcoholic glasses. I love my giant champagne glasses! :) We have 15 kinds of candy, as well as a rock candy tree, and a homemade Oreo pop tower. I'm probably more excited about putting this together than any of my other little details!
