venue for winter wedding!

Hey ladies! FI and I are thinking about getting married next winter and are looking for a venue. Problem is, we aren't religious so we need a place that can do the ceremony and reception. AND we're on a pretty tight budget! Any info or help you have would be greatly appreciated :)

    Hi!  I'm having my reception at the Carnegie Institution in 2 weeks.  Definitely put it on your list- it's such a beautiful building and it can accommodate a ceremony and reception.  The venue fee is a fraction of similar places in the city.  Good luck!

    We are having our ceremony and reception at the Crowne Plaza in Old Town ALexandria in 3 weeks on NYE. Because it is a NYE wedding the prices for the rooms actaully went down adn they are tremendous to work with ! THE BEST!!

    The ballroom is huge so for the ceremony we are blocking it off halfway and then during cocktail hr we are opening it up!

    We had ours at Glenview Mansion.  Extreamly affordable and the location is definitly unique!
