2 Envelope Questions

Hello Ladies,

I am using Mountain Cow for my invites and I couldn't find the answer to my question online..

I want to add the tree design from my invites to the envelopes, but I don't know if they break a rule.  Did anyone else have a light translucent design on the front of their envelopes?  To be safe, should I just put it on the back flap? Did your stamps go over the design?

Lastly, I wanted to put the return address on the back flap, but the USPS website seems to infer that it has to be on the front (Ergo no fun design on the front.) Anyone have a different address placement?

TIA,

Christine

Re: 2 Envelope Questions

  • return addresses CAN be on the back. Just you might get a lazy USPS worker who says oh "no return address" and might refuse to send.
I know my aunt puts her return address on the back and a few times we didnt get the cards she sent.

i cant answer the other question, but those envelopes are nice!

  • That is another question! Who got some flack for putting their return address on the back?
  • Also, make sure whatever you use on the front can be printed over by the USPS!  If it's a busy design and will go under where some of the stamps or printing by the USPS will go, it won't be sendable.  To play it safe, I would put the design on the lefthand side instead of the top.  That shouldn't interfer with anything.
