How do you combat oily skin??

I have naturally oily skin and even take yasmin birth control (which is supposed to reduce oil xproduction), but my face always looks shiny especially in pics. I also hate having to constantly blot the excess oil off my face with tissues and what not.

Any of you girls use any products that combat this problem? If so please share :)

Do you wear make-up? I've got a pretty shiny face, but when I wear make-up (I use bare minerals because I have CRAZY sensitive skin) it seems to stay matte longer.

I also find that using a tea tree toner helps too. I use the Tea Tree products from The Body Shop.

Make sure you arent using anything thats really strong or harsh on your face (my FI used to wash his face with DAWN becasue his skin was so oily) if you totally strip the oil, your body just produces more of it- its a nasty cycle.

My FI has very oily skin and we bought some Lush brand soap called Coalface. Its pretty serious, but it has made a difference. If you're not super oily, you could probably use it every other day. Lush makes all natural soap and skincare products. There's a store at Florida Mall. I tried to link it for you, but their site is down right now, but its just www.lush.com

Thanks, I have bought some bath things from them before. Is Coalface a scrub also? I'm just asking b/c I am not a fan of scrubs since I also have sensitive skin. I might just check out Aveda. I know they are pricy, but I think they are known for being gentle.

Are any of u girls considering airbrush make-up for your weddings? I heard it stays on much longer, but I am not sure if they have air-brush foundation.

Coalface has a few very small pieces of charcoal in it, so it has a mild exfoliant property, but it is not a scrub, its a bar. You might also try Fresh Farmacy by Lush. I found it to mildly drying, but also good for sensitive skin. It is calamine lotion based.
